JOB TITLE:
INSTALLATION & SERVICE TECHNICIAN DEPARTMENT:
Local Boston Amramp REPORTS TO:
Installation Manager Prior experience with power tools/equipment required.
If you're handy and can use basic hand tools, we can teach you the rest.
This position requires travel time to customers homes in company provided vehicle.
Must have a flexible schedule as overtime is mandatory during peak times.
Must pass CORI and background check.
Overview:
The Installation & Service Technician will be primarily involved with the installation, service, and preventative maintenance of Amramp products throughout greater Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Most installations are outside the home.
Technicians will work in pairs and will be paired based on need and availability.
Being professional and respectful is always required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Perform installation of Amramp products.
This includes but is not limited to resource allocation, customer and sub-contractor communication, expense tracking, final audit, etc.
Construction sites consist of hospitals, long-term care facilities as well as private residences, etc.
Install all Amramp products and systems per Amramp standards.
Perform on-site troubleshoots at installation sites for the purpose of gathering all required information to plan and complete an installation.
Perform on-site audits of in progress and completed installations to ensure compliance with company standards.
Interact directly with owners and staff at Hospitals, Nursing Homes, private residences, Group Homes, etc.
while performing the above functions Train the end-users of the equipment on the operational aspects of the equipment sold and installed.
Perform service repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance as required.
Maintain the company service and installation vehicle in good operating condition and cleanliness.
Maintain the van inventory in an orderly fashion, at proper levels, and account for all items used in the performance of service and installation functions.
Additional responsibilities as requested or required by management.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 to 2 years of related experience and or training; preferably in building construction, mechanical, electrical and plumbing methods.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATIONS:
OSHA 10 Hour Certification required (we will provide this training if you don't have it); OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred, but not required.

Driver's License with minimal driving infractions.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficiency in Windows applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee may frequently stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift.
Employees will be required to regularly use their hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to regularly lift, push, pull and or move up to 75 lbs.
